Send any page to the teleprompter
Most scripts are written somewhere else. Save one bookmark, select your script on any page, click it, and Reframely opens with the text ready to read. No copying, no tab switching.
Step by step: send any page to Reframely
- Drag the button to your bookmarks bar. On the bookmark page, or in More → Send-to-Reframely bookmark, drag the button up into your browser’s bookmarks bar. You do this once.
- Select your script. Open the page with your script, in Notion, Gmail, a blog draft or anything else, and select the text. With nothing selected, it takes the page’s main text.
- Click Send to Reframely. Reframely opens in a new tab with your script loaded and saved. It travels inside the link, so nothing is uploaded.
- From Google Docs: copy, then click. Google Docs hides its text from bookmarks. Copy your script first; the bookmark opens a paste box, and pasting loads it.
Add the bookmark

No bookmarks bar? Press Ctrl+Shift+B to show it in Chrome, Edge and Firefox, or ⌘+Shift+B on a Mac. In Safari, choose View → Show Favorites Bar.
Use it
- Open the page with your script: Notion, Gmail, a blog draft, a web page.
- Select the script. With nothing selected, the bookmark takes the page's main text, which works well for articles.
- Click Send to Reframely in your bookmarks bar. The prompter opens in a new tab with your script, and it's saved in your scripts.
Google Docs
Google Docs draws its text in a way bookmarks can't read. Copy your script first (Ctrl+C or ⌘+C), then click the bookmark: Reframely opens a paste box, and pasting loads the script. You can also download the doc as a Word file and import it.
The text travels inside the link to the prompter, in your own browser. Nothing is uploaded, and the page you send from can't see anything in Reframely.
Phones and tablets
Phone browsers don't have a bookmarks bar, so the bookmark is for computers. On a phone, copy your script and paste it on the home page, or send it from your computer with More → Send this script.
Where it's most useful
- Writing in Notion, Google Docs or a CMS: select the finished script and click the bookmark, instead of exporting a file.
- Scripts sent by email: select the text in the email and send it to the prompter.
- Reading an article on camera: with nothing selected, the bookmark takes the page's main text.
Privacy
The bookmark doesn't send anything to a server. The selected text is packed into the link that opens Reframely, and saved in your browser's script list. Very long pages are trimmed to the prompter's maximum script length.
If nothing happens when you click it
Some sites block bookmarks from running scripts on their pages. Copy the text instead; the bookmark then opens a paste box. On phones, bookmarks are awkward to run, so copy and paste or share the text to Reframely instead.
Questions
Does the bookmark upload my script?
No. The script is packed into the link that opens Reframely, in your browser. It doesn't pass through any server.
Why doesn't it read Google Docs?
Google Docs draws text on a canvas instead of as page text, so no bookmark can read it. Copy the text, click the bookmark, and paste it in the box that opens.
How long can the script be?
Up to 100,000 characters, about two hours of reading.
